As a smaller companion to our ever-popular BBb TB160, the TE165 Bohème is an all-new Eb tornister (backpack) tuba which plays just as well as its slightly bigger brother. 

This is based on tubas used by Austro-Hungarian military bands before World War 1 and they were made small to be portable for musicians to carry with them literally in backpacks in the days before mechanized transport.

Today they are still great to be used as a travel tuba to keep in practice when away being small enough to take in a cabin on air flight, and a fun tuba to practice on at home, use for playing jazz (with mic), in a small ensemble, as a lightweight marking tuba and for Tuba Christmas events.
